Il Café de l’Homme

An iconic restaurant and terrace with outstanding views on the Eiffel Tower

Located on the famous Place du Trocadéro overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Le Café de l’Homme is renowned for its unique positioning and spectacular views. The restaurant’s terrace looks onto the Eiffel Tour surrounded by its greenspace, Le Champ-de-Mars, and gorgeous Trocadero gardens.

With a chic yet cosy feel, the restaurant’s views and surroundings make it an immediate must-go for anyone visiting the French capital. Le Café de l’Homme offers a distinctive menu composed of classic French produce but also international options.

Trendy and innovative selections such as pineapple bream ceviche, tapioca and parmesan ravioli or simply share the Meunière sole 1 kg , lemon and capers. The desert menu highlights a selection of seasonal products ranging from citrus based tarts to sesame Mille-Feuille, or a selection of mini-pastries to share.

For visitors on the quest for another French touch, the restaurant’s cellar offers a selection of over 3,000 wines developed and matured by some of the best houses.

From Wednesday to Saturday, and every day during the summer, the atmosphere on the terrace is enlivened by a DJ allowing for a festive time after-work or at week-ends, opposite the glowing Eiffel Tower.

Le Café de l’Homme was designed by renowned French interior architects Gilles & Boissier, who styled the establishment in a 30’s Art Deco ambience representing characteristics of the adjourning Palais de Chaillot. The choice of materials for this unique decor represents both mineral and vegetal origins, mirroring the Musée de l’Homme and its dedication to the evolution of humans and the environment.

The outstanding location of the restaurant and terrace make for a true icon in the heart of Paris, attracting not only tourists worldwide but also the local crowd who like to make the most of their hometown.

The minds behind the restaurant’s hospitality and concept, Coco Coupérie-Eiffel and Christophe Bonnat, work side by side to perfect this Parisian institution. With a rich background in the industry, Coco brings her expertise to the table whilst Christophe utilises his experience in international hospitality and development, to satisfy a demanding crowd. Their long lasting friendship turns into a strong partnership built of passion and talent aiming to associate the French Art de Vivre and luxury hospitality.
