The MM6 collection will be presented on Wednesday 20 February during the Milan Fashion Week, which will take place from 19 to 25 February and will present the women’s fall/winter 2019 pret-à-porter collections.
MM6 is back on the road and inaugurates a two-hour presentation format that will reflect the inclusive spirit of the brand: a single creative concept will be disseminated throughout the collection and will take over the location to offer an immersive experience
declared the house in a press release.
This decision, which “strengthens the presence of the brand in Milan”, comes a year after the opening of the first Maison Margiela boutique in the city, in the Porta Nuova district.
For several seasons, the MM6 collection has been presented in London with different formats: a graffiti art gallery in Convent Garden, an old Mayfair pub completely decorated with silver paper.
The creative direction of the MM6 line is made by an anonymous collective and not by the famous Artistic Director of the fashion house, John Galliano. The brand was launched for the first time by the mysterious Martin Margiela in 1989 and is probably one of the most celebrated examples of conceptual fashion.
MM6 adopts an unconventional vision of women’s fashion and stands out for its decisive approach.
