As Iris explained at the shoot in Miami

I have done many things in my life and throughout, I have always tried to live without fear of judgment. Otherwise, you miss out on all the fun! I was thrilled to collaborate with Magnum to bring this attitude to life and I hope we inspire you to do the same. Feel empowered to be a little more lighthearted and playful… I know I will continue to do so

Commenting on the shoot, Mert Alas stated that having Iris star in the campaign was a great honor: “We have been lucky enough to shoot many of the great icons, so adding Iris to our hall of fame was a true pleasure. Iris is the posterchild of living life with a playful twinkle in your eye, exactly the kind of strong women we love to capture.”

The first short recalls Iris’s captivating life, and how she has always proudly pursued what brings her true pleasure, while the second episode is the icon’s call to new generations of pleasure seekers to follow her example and let go, to be true and loyal to themselves.

Next May 16, Iris Apfel is attending the Cannes Film Festival as a Magnum ambassador to celebrate pleasure and encourage to pursue it without any fear, as well as to talk about what she loves most of the campaign.
