Gems of contemporary design, Grand Seiko SBGE248 and Grand Seiko SBGE249 are the latest luxury timepieces unveiled by Grand Seiko, one of the most appreciated labels in high-end watchmaking.
Coming in a limited edition, the two watches sport sport a model construction that forsakes escapements and balance wheels for a quartz-powered regulator to deliver extreme precision.
With only 250 pieces available, the Spring Drive GMT Caliber 9R66 – SBGE248 features an unprecedented rotating bezel in 18-karat yellow gold that, inspired by the sun rising in the distance, contrasts the deep blue of the dial lying beneath the sapphire crystal. The second-hand and an additional GMT hand glide smoothly over the dial, with a flowing, continuous movement that reminds of the natural passing of time.
This contemporary piece is equipped with Grand Seiko’s exclusive Spring Drive caliber, as powerful as a mainspring and as precise as a quartz watch. A unique craftsman ship masterpiece that successfully mixes excellent performance, modern lines and absolute elegance, for a taste of the infinite.
Born of Grand Seiko’s first collaboration with retailer Timeless Luxury Watches, based in Plano, Texas, the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Limited Edition SBGE249 was inspired by a blizzard that often blows in the Japanese city of Shinsu, where Seiko’s Epson factoryis. In the exclusive design of this modern timepiece, the beautiful texture of the silvery white dial, one of the finest among contemporary watches, splendidly combines with the three steel hands, while the mirror-polished hour indexes reflect the blue hints dotting the dial, for an additional touch of color. Featuring a highly performing movement, the timepiece is equipped with the most advanced technologies in contemporary luxury watchmaking.
