Il Boscareto Resort & Spa *****L

Il Boscareto Resort & Spa, ensconced in vineyards on the top of a hill cultivated under Nebbiolo, is an enchanted spot that offers an interrupted view of the most fascinating, vivid places of a land steeped in history, literature and traditions. Opened in 2009 by the Dogliani family, Il Boscareto Resort & Spa has been designed from the outset as a unique location able to imbue a traditional, cosmopolitan territory with a new dimension: a five-star luxury resort and the sensation of intimate family type care and attention. Designed to interpret and to transmit to guests – from Italy and all over the world – the ingrained passion for hospitality and quality of the Langhe, the resort is suspended in the silence of nature but only a few minutes by road from the city of Alba and the surrounding hills and vineyards, renowned for the excellence of great Baroli wines and ancient villages that convey an impression of the authentic traditions of the Langhe.

The unmistakably contemporary architecture of the Resort was inspired by the idea of designing a modern castle, projected into the future, in an area with strongly-rooted    traditions, and the desire to offer maximum comfort combined with forefront technology while respecting the surrounding environment. Many local materials have been used for construction including Langa stone, Vico (Vicoforte) stone, ash wood. Glass is also a dominating element in the rooms and in all communal areas, to allow the surrounding landscape and changing seasons to penetrate the internal environments.

Cascina Boscareto was selected amongst the 9 original vineyards of the Beni di Batasiolo Winery, always owned by the Dogliani family, for its unique geographical, panoramic position, surrounded by 33 hectares of winery-owned vineyards in the heart of the Langhe. Construction started in 2006 and, after three years, Il Boscareto Resort & Spa was officially inaugurated on October 18, 2009.

The rooms

Il Boscareto Resort & Spa has 38 rooms comprising nine suites. The Resort’s preference for broad, ample spaces is reflected in all the various environments, from the broad corridors to the lounges and 30 to 80 sq. m rooms. Each beautifully- appointed brightly-lit room features silk-covered walls and large windows that frame and provide a never-tiring view of surrounding nature. Architect-designed, hand-crafted maple interior furnishings painted in the same colour complete each room. In-room technology includes sound diffusion systems, WI-FI, TV and Bang & Olufsen HI-FI.

For Gourmets

The La Rei Restaurant – a gourmet attraction not only for guests of the hotel but also for those who travel or live in the area – reflects a passion and attention to detail. Since August 1, 2013, two Michelin-starred chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo is at the helm of the La Rei restaurant and in charge of all food activities of Il Boscareto Resort & Spa. The Campania-born chef will continue his activities at Villa Crespi but cooperation with the resort of the Dogliani family comprises complete supervision of all aspects of food service activities.

The La Rei Restaurant can accommodate up to 70 guests inside while, in the summer, meals are taken outside on the terrace overlooking the hill of Serralunga, with a close-up view of an impressive castle.

La Briccolina

The winery La Briccolina is the last born at Boscareto Resort. A new kitchen, a dedicated staff, a multi-colored and not usual place for la Langa.

Created as an alternative on the formality of important events/occasions to satisfy those who wish to taste  the traditional Piedmont kitchen with a service style more easy going, but as always characterized by the maximum quality of the prime materials.

La Briccolina is opened on Mondays when La Rei is closed for weekly rest.

The Cellar

In a dehumidified environment at an ideal temperature for preservation of 17/18°, the cellar proposes a selection of more than 1200 labels ranging from the wines of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato to great Burgundies, without forgetting Super Tuscans, the white wines of Alsace and North-East Italy and, obviously, Champagne. The cellar is helmed by talented Sommelier Andrea Ostorero, always ready to suggest the best food and wine combinations.

The Sunsì Lounge Bar

The Sunsì Lounge Bar offers guests an occasion to enjoy a drink in a hospitable environment with a breath-taking view of the surrounding countryside. From mid-morning coffee accompanied by delicious pastries hot from the oven to an aperitif in the garden, the Sunsì Lounge Bar is the favourite haunt of guests throughout the entire day.

La Sovrana SPA

La Sovrana is the Aveda Destination SPA of Il Boscareto Resort, a two-floor area dedicated to relaxation and personal care. On the upper floor, guests can enjoy the pool area with swimming-pool, whirlpool tub and fitness zone, equipped with avant-garde Technogym appliances, perfect to restore fitness; the lower floor is equipped  with three massage and treatment suites, a make-up and hairstyling room, Finnish sauna, aromatic Turkish bath, frigidarium, emotional and reaction showers and an area dedicated to relaxation with a fireplace where tea and relaxing herbal teas are served. Outside, the solarium welcomes guests to an open-air lounge. In the summer, the retractable windows of the pool area are lowered to permit direct access to the outside, for a total immersion in nature or to enjoy a pleasant breeze. In the winter, the windows offer the emotion of a hot bath with a spectacular view of the snow-capped hills.
