Scents of Normality: back to the fragrances we love

Category:

Who’s not missing the fragrances of the places we love most?

We have all been longing for that particular scent, that blend of caramel, popcorn and velvet cinema seats, or the smell of the place where we used to meet our friends…

English Uncommon Creative Studio has collaborated with Earl of East to create a range of scented candles evoking the fragrances of the places we miss most, with the artful help of important illustrators from the global design community.

Named Scents of Normality, these limited-edition candles are made from soy wax, and sold with detailed scent descriptions.

Illustrator Thomas Hedger, from London, recreates that friendly, unmistakable local pub ambiance in a pub-scented candle with “notes of spilt beer, hair pomade and chip fat jostle amongst a pungent base of varnished teak and sticky carpet”.

For every candle sold, all proceeds will be donated to support the incredible efforts by charity Hospitality Action, established in 1837 to help all hospitality professionals in the UK, and now actively aiding all those in need through the hardships of the Covid-19 lockdown.
