The Luminor Edition By Panerai

The hight-end brand Panerai marks the 70th anniversary of the introduction of Luminor, the glowing substance now synonymous with one of Panerai’s most iconic modern watch families, with a limited edition collection of three extraordinary new Luminor Marinas timepieces: DMLS 44mm, Carbotech™ 44mm, and the Prima Assoluta Fibratech™ 44mm.

Panerai Luminor Marina

From a radiant compliment and tribute to the Luminor legacy to a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration with legendary explorer Mike Horn, this Panerai’s lastest edition embodies power, precision, and remarkable engineering.

Besides this, all these contemporary watches use the in-house P.9010 movement, which is an in-house movement with a three-day power reserve. These luxury watches by Panerai are iconic because they’re distinctive while also feeling natural in a way, like a thing that has always existed.

These three luxury watches have a lot in common, especially the unique design. All of these modern watches by Panerai are 44 mm across and use a case in the familiar Luminor Marina profile, with the oversized, locking crown guard, the short, robust lugs, and the round, sloped bezel set on top of the cushion-shaped case.

These modern watches are really remarkable because all of them comprise the lume: actually, it was the reason for their creation, and Panerai fully embraced that idea. The lume in all three watches is a new grade of Super-LumiNova called “X1” that Panerai says is stronger and longer-lasting than other variants, allowing them to use it in the structural elements of the watch themselves.

For this timepiece, it was used as a material previously used in aeronautics, the Fibratech™: it is a resilient composite of fully recyclable mineral fibers derived from molten volcanic rock and mineral additives. The contemporary case of this timepieces is complemented by a blue sandwich dial and the P.9010 3 days automatic caliber, engineered in Neuchâtel.

Featuring a new typology of Super-Luminova observed as the best self-luminous substance in watchmaking, these Luminor Marina editions are limited to just 270 timepieces each and boast an astonishing 70-year warranty.
