Great success for Vicenzaoro September 2024

Vicenzaoro September 2024

The international jewellery exhibition matches the record attendance.

Vicenzaoro, the international exhibition dedicated to gold, jewellery and watchmaking organized by Italian Exhibition Group, has concluded successfully, replicating the record attendance set in September 2023.

This September edition, which saw the participation of Excellence Magazine as a media partner, confirmed the international positioning of IEG’s exhibition, attracting visitors from 132 countries. Notably, there was a significant increase in attendance from Europe, reaching 63.37% compared to 52% last September, led by Spain, France, and Germany. Participation from Asia and the Middle East also rose, from 17% to 21%. Among the new participating countries are Honduras, Tajikistan and Tanzania.

“After a steady progression of attendances, we have now reached the new normal. The last three years of growth now shows the result of the strategy that IEG is pursuing: to focus increasingly on the quality of the public at the show. An objective that sees ITA – Italian Trade Agency at our side also in the profiling of hosted buyers. An important result, if we look at the complex signals coming from the jewellery industry with international demand slightly down and the latest data on Italian exports up +60%, we could not have wished for a better way to close the 70th anniversary of gold and jewellery shows in Vicenza”, said Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group.

Matteo Farsura, global exhibition manager of IEG’s Jewellery & Fashion division added: “Thanks to a strategic tandem with the operations management, we overcame the challenge of a new layout with the Expo Centre being fully navigable despite the “work in progress”. As the operators themselves also acknowledged, the new layout eliminated any impact of the construction site for the new hall on the 1,200 exhibitors and visitors. Moreover, VO’Clock Privé confirmed its standing as a unique format in Italy for opening up the world of watches to the public. Media visibility of the show and the increasingly high quality of the events, both at the Expo and in town with VIOFF, confirm Vicenzaoro’s status as a reference point for the international community.”

IEG’s Jewellery Agenda continues with JGT – Jewellery, Gems and Technology in Dubai from 12th to 14th November. While for Italy, the jewellery industry will be meeting in the production districts for the Valenza Gem Forum, on 10th October and the Italian Jewellery Summit in Arezzo in December.

The return of Vicenzaoro January, scheduled from 17th to 21st January 2025, is highly anticipated and will mark the start of the year as the first international gold and jewellery event.
