The 16th edition of APERTI took place this weekend from 21 to 22 May 2022 under a summer sky. Over a whole weekend, nearly 3,800 visitors were able to meet 59 artists in the intimacy of their studios in and around Lausanne.
It was a great opportunity to explore the city to discover multiple artistic universes. Between painting, drawing, photography, artist’s book, sculpture, engraving, installation, video and multimedia, a wide range of works has been unveiled.
This year, alongside the works presented in their ateliers, some artists have created live works, sometimes participatory. The public was thus able to witness in vivo the creation of the monotypes in the bucolic laboratory of Marie-José Imsand.
Among the participatory works, Chus Díaz Bacchetta offered visitors the opportunity to tie nets for his installation Weaving links, while young and old were able to participate in the collective work on the question of memory in Naomi Middelmann’s studio.
On May 18 the round table at the MCBA on the theme Interference between art and writing saw the participation of numerous artists and art lovers. The conversation between Vincent Barras, Margaux Dewarrat and Jérémie Gindre thus offered new creative avenues to a heterogeneous audience.
APERTI – the artistic path once again testifies to the vitality of the Lausanne art scene.
The next edition will be held in the spring of 2023. The date will be announced later.
