The Swiss aviation company shapes the future of air travel.
Founded in Switzerland in 2021 by a family boasting a rich legacy in aviation and presently directed by a family member with extensive expertise as an aviation engineer and pilot, Sirius Aviation AG stands as a trailblazing force in the aerospace and aviation realm.
With a team of world-class expertise in aerospace and aviation engineers, a dedication to pioneering sustainable innovation, unparalleled safety standards, energy efficiency, and cost-effective operations, Sirius Aviation AG is ready to guide the aerospace industry into a sustainable future focusing everything on hydrogen as a clean fuel source.
The goal of the company is very ambitious and futuristic: to transform the aerospace sector through groundbreaking, eco-friendly innovations and to revolutionize the global transportation industry with the newest flagship creation, the Sirius Jet, the world’s first hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft.
And on January Sirius Aviation AG has unveiled this revolutionary Sirius Jet – the world’s first hydrogen-powered Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft, crafted and designed in collaboration with BMW’s Designworks and Sauber Group, marking a major milestone in sustainable aviation and highlights Sirius Aviation AG’s steadfast commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety.
What is the Sirius Jet
The Sirius Jet, an aviation game-changer, is a high-performance, zero-emission VTOL aircraft, propelled by a hydrogen-electric propulsion system. Leveraging jet aerodynamics with airplane and helicopter versatility, it achieves extended flight distances, impressive speeds, and high altitudes at near-silent levels. The Sirius Jet redefines excellence with unmatched cutting-edge technology, unique design, and precision engineering, setting a new industry standard.
In 2025, the Sirius Jet will take flight in two versions: Sirius Business Jet, tailored to private jet needs, and Sirius Millennium Jet, crafted for commercial aviation. A revolutionary leap that will reshape the global transportation industry.
The Sirius Business Jet and the Sirius Millennium Jet
The Sirius Business Jet and the Sirius Millennium Jet are zero-emission, hydrogen-powered VTOL that can fly at a cruise speed of 323 mph, altitude capability of 30,000 feet, ultra-quiet noise levels of 60 dBa: The business version features an 1150-mile flight range and can accommodates 3 passengers, while the Millennium offers a 650-mile flight range for up to 5 passengers.
A long series of important partnerships and investments
On the same month of the Sirius Jet launch, Sirius Aviation AG proudly announced the historic unveiling of its groundbreaking Hydrogen-Electric Ducted Fan Propulsion System for the Sirius Jet, alongside esteemed partners BMW Group Designworks and Sauber Group F1. The launch event took place at Payerne Airport in Switzerland, marking the first public exhibition and inaugural ignition of the revolutionary propulsion system.
One month later, on February, the company announced another historic partnership, this time with MEHAIR, India’s premier seaplane operator, to secure 50 orders of the Sirius Millennium Jet and 1,400 Millennium Hydrogen Fan Jets, along with integrating 50 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powertrains and 10 Hydrogen Generation Units in India, marking a new era of zero-carbon aviation. This landmark agreement that includes 50 rm orders, with an option to add 50 more, has a total value of approximately $400 million.
Finally, on March, the last partnership with PARQ Development, to provide ten cutting-edge hydrogenpowered vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) jets – five Sirius Millennium Jets and five Sirius Business Jets – along with tailored support services to Bali and the nearby islands in Indonesia. The agreement is estimated to be worth $50 million, reflecting a significant investment in advancing sustainable aviation initiatives. For PARQ the partnership will develop tourist routes and infrastructure not just in Bali, but on the numerous surrounding islands, enhancing the region’s economy and introducing brand-new destinations.
Sirius Aviation AG works with cooperation partners as BMW Group’s DesignWorks, Sauber Group, Alfleth Engineering AG, ALD Group, Leonardo Aerostructures, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Swiss Aeropole, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
